Waste Management of Nevada operates two transfer stations in Reno to help residents and businesses with their disposal needs.
Accepted Items: Year round our transfer stations accept municipal solid waste, bulky items, and anti-freeze for a fee. Used automotive oil and large kitchen appliances such as stoves and refrigerators without Freon are accepted free of charge! There is a $44.00 charge per unit to remove Freon.
Household Hazardous Waste: At this time, we do not accept Household Hazardous Waste such as paint, pesticides, chemical cleanser and e-waste. For a helpful directory of HHW disposal options check out the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website.
